Pro-Vice-Chancellor Education

Biography

Linda Ralphs has been Pro Vice-Chancellor for Education at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ since October 2025. Building on her previous role as Dean of Education for the College of Business. This role entails providing strategic leadership for all aspects of learning, teaching and educational experience.

Linda is a member of the Executive Board and Senior Leadership Team. She chairs the Senior Educational Leadership Team and leads teams of colleagues from around the University to define and implement education strategy.

Previously, as Dean for Education within the College of Business, she developed the Education Ecosystem framework and led the successful Athena SWAN Bronze Award. Linda is particularly committed to inclusive, values-led leadership and has led the College of Business to deliver on significant improvements in NSS scores, portfolio growth through new postgraduate and foundation programmes, and strengthened graduate outcomes through employer engagement.

A Chartered Management Accountant and Senior Fellow of the HEA, she holds an MBA from Warwick University. Linda has held both industry and academic posts. She began her career in Accounting at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ in 1994 before moving on to Andersen Consulting, OTIS Lifts, ARLA Dairies and Kaplan Financial. Only to return to the Â鶹ÊÓƵ as an academic in 2015 into the School of Economics.
