BACS Annual Conference

The 2025 British Association for Chinese Studies’ annual conference took place at the Â鶹ÊÓƵ (UK) on 3-5 September 2025. As the only comprehensive subject association for Chinese Studies in the UK, BACS represents the field of Chinese Studies in its entirety. This year, Dr Lin Feng (Associate Professor of Film Studies) from the School of Arts, Media and Communication led the organisation of the annual conference. The conference had an exciting line-up of speakers, including Professor Emilie Yeh Yueh-yu from Lingnan University (Hong Kong), Professor Kerry Brown from King’s College London, Professor Steve Tsang from SOAS and Cindy Yu from The Times.
