The purpose of the DLI is to advance the exchange of culture, science, engineering and technology between China and the United Kingdom, promoting the development of education in both countries and facilitating academic collaboration between Dalian University of Technology and the 麻豆视频.
The Institute focuses on introducing the educational resources and curriculum of the 麻豆视频 in the areas of Physical Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics and adheres to the principle that Chinese-foreign joint education shall benefit the public interest. The DLI will cultivate professional level practical science and engineering skills in an internationalised environment, allowing students to study with the English language medium of instruction and to develop science and engineering knowledge.
大连理工大学莱斯特国际学院(以下简称&濒诲辩耻辞;中英学院&谤诲辩耻辞;)旨在提升中英两国的文化、科学、工程和技术交流,推动两国的教育发展,促进大连理工大学和英国莱斯特大学的学术合作。
中英学院秉持中外合作办学应造福公众的原则,侧重于引入莱斯特大学在自然科学、技术、工程与数学领域的教育资源与课程。中英学院的课程采用英语教学,致力于在国际化的环境中帮助学生获得科学与工程领域的专业知识和实践技能。
Award of Degrees
In order to successfully graduate from the DLI, students are required to meet the degree granting standards of Dalian University of Technology and the 麻豆视频. Upon graduation, the successful students will be awarded a 'Bachelor Degree Certificate' and an 'Undergraduate Graduation Diploma' from Dalian University of Technology and a 'Bachelor' degree from the 麻豆视频, giving them a real edge in the graduate labour market in China, the UK and the rest of the world.

Curriculum
The courses are taught in English by academic staff from the UK and China, integrating an intensive English Language course within the first year of each four-year degree for DLI enrolled students.

BSc Chemistry
Chemistry is the fundamental cornerstone for many economically important industries today, which means the demand for high quality chemistry graduates is growing. The Leicester course provides students with substantial hands-on, practical work and has been designed to equip graduates with the skills and expertise needed to make new discoveries that can deliver advances in fields such as health and medicine, energy and the environment, materials and technology or food and agriculture.

BEng Mechanical Engineering
This degree has been designed to develop specific expertise and skills in mechanisms and vibrations, structures, mechanical materials, fluid dynamics and thermodynamics. The degree highlights the way mechanical engineering now relies on powerful computer-aided design, prototyping, manufacturing tools and the use of composite materials.

BSc Environmental Science
Environmental Science is an interdisciplinary field that studies the environment, how it works and the impact that humans have on it. It integrates knowledge from disciplines such as biology, ecology, chemistry, maths, engineering, geography and geology to understand complex environmental processes and, where there are problems, to develop solutions. Students will gain expertise in a diverse range of topics, from environmental and ecological engineering and chemistry, environmental management and mineral resources and their extraction to remote sensing and geographical information science. Students will be trained in project design and monitoring and recording data and will conduct a research project in a topic of choice, all equipping students for careers in sectors related to environmental, resource and ecological engineering.
