Translation in Action
Module code: ML1040
This module introduces students to the key concepts related to translation, both in the academic field and in professional translation practice. By focusing on two specific overarching themes of technology and ideology, students are equipped to understand on-going debates and how ideology and technology affect and influence translation in the modern world. A variety of teaching methods are used, from case studies to fieldwork, hands-on work with technology to debates. The module is assessed via a presentation and coursework essay.
