Partnership could see Malaysian college graduates progress to Â鶹ÊÓƵ

The Â鶹ÊÓƵ has embarked on a new international partnership, by signing an agreement with a Malaysian college.

The University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Kolej Islam Teknologi Antarabangsa Pulau Pinang (KITAB), which is located in George Town, the capital of Penang state.

The agreement will see the institutions explore the potential for KITAB graduates to progress onto courses provided by Leicester’s School of Business.

The courses include our Accounting and Finance BScs, BA and BSc Business and Management and BA Human Resource Management.

The collaboration could also see opportunities for other Malaysian students to further their education with Leicester at bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree levels via the academic pathway established between the partners.

Professor Henrietta O'Connor, Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor, said: “I am delighted to see the Â鶹ÊÓƵ establish a new partnership with KITAB.

“The agreement extends the University’s global footprint, ensuring that the research and education at Leicester has a truly international impact.”

Rector of KITAB, Associate Dr Wan Nazjmi Bin Mohamed Fisol, said: “This milestone reflects KITAB’s ongoing commitment to broadening access to global education and fostering meaningful academic exchanges. It is hoped that this collaboration will bring lasting benefits to both institutions while contributing to academic excellence and international engagement.”
