Dr. Ed Jarman is a lecturer specialising in cancer immunology and prevention. His research focusses on the mechanisms of tumour initiation in the liver, with a particular emphasis on biliary tract cancers and the role of inflammation. By looking for emergent cells states at the earliest stages of the neoplastic transition, his research aims to understand what drives these states so we can develop better approaches for cancer risk stratification and preventative treatment in patients with inflammatory diseases associated with high risk of progression towards cancer.
