Dr Hill investigates the occurrence and impact of falls, with a focus on how fear of falling interacts with these experiences. His work explores interoception, self-perceptions of ageing, and other psychosocial factors that shape fall-related concerns and other functional outcomes. He aims to understand the psychological mechanisms underlying fall risk, and to identify targets for interventions. His research mission is simple: to help people stay on their feet, in every sense of the phrase.
